Dollar Decor

When I first saw these streamers Jordan at Oh Happy Day was making, it was love at first sight...

 Jordan painstakingly cut each streamer by folding crepe paper herself! Very impressive, but I am not the most patient person and time is working against me (Holly's birthday party is this weekend!) I wanted the look but needed to create it cheap + fast. Quick trip to the dollar store, I purchased regular party streamers (2 for a buck), and Leila and I got to work making some decorations....

Quick and easy snips on either side of the roll and you end up with these (excuse the dark picture it is a particularly cloudy day today...)

Oh so pretty! We also followed this Martha Stewart tutorial to make some of these pretty little poufs using tissue paper from the dollar store:

I also picked up these cute garlands at the grocery store a little after Valentine's day, for 1.50 each! I love to dig around the sale bins after holidays, sometimes you can find beautiful things not necessarily limited to that time of year! I will be keeping my eyes open for easter prettiness soon!

Not bad for spending under $10! The rest of the decor will come in setting the table with vintage tablecloths, flowers, thrifted glass bowls filled with pretty pastel candies...I can't wait to show you the final photos. In the meantime, I better start baking!!!
